Sugar Outlook `Bleak' as Prices Overreact to Coming Surplus, Kingsman Says

The global sugar surplus may be 30 percent larger than earlier estimated as bigger harvests from Brazil and India, the largest producers, drive a “period of low prices,” researcher and broker Kingsman SA said today.

BUTTER PRICES CONTINUE INCREASING

In Russia the tendency of butter price rise is not stopped in the second half of May. Buyers showed high activity, stimulating vendors to increase the prices. Limitation of purchases of butter in far abroad countries, because of its dearness, had certain influence on the tendency.
