World Food Ukraine 2009 Tasting Competition Results

On October 21^st within the 12^th International forum of food, drinks, ingredients and supermarket equipment producers the Tasting contest was hold by the company Premier Expo with assistance and support of experts of the Central tasting board and the State department of Food ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine. The Tasting contest covered the following categories: dairy, pastry and sweets, meat and sausage products, fish and seafood, canned food, juices and soft drinks, water.

The main task of the tasting contest is promotion of qualitative food products and their realization in Ukraine, popularization of healthy life and increase of cultural level of Ukrainian consumers.

• Gold medals in the category World Milk Ukraine received the following companies: Buchatskiy Cheese factory, Ltd., Krymskiy factory of baked milk;
• Gold medals in the category World Sweet Ukraine received: Intermarket, Ltd., Aviant factory;
• Gold medals in the category World Meat Ukraine received PE Bankor;
• Gold medals in the category World Fish & Seafood Ukraine received Fish canning plant Ltd. Equator
• Gold medals in the category World Canned Ukraine received Argo Ltd.;
• Gold medals in the category World Juice Ukraine received Argo Ltd., AzNar JSC of Teimur Ahmedov name, Vitmark-Urkaine Ltd.
• Gold medals in the category World Canned Ukraine received Argo Ltd.;
• In the category World Aqua Ukraine the Grand-Prix was received by the company AquaTrade SRL for Gura Cainarului water. Gold medals in this category were granted to: PE Soyuz TM, AquaTrade SRL, JSC Babek Sirab. Silver medal was granted to Vitmark-Ukraine Ltd. for the soft drink «Limonad».

The following facts should also be noted:

«Wheat Toasts Aviant» of Aviant company have received Grand-Prix in the category World Sweet Ukraine the second year in a row;

a sample of brand «Nash Sok» («Our Juice») was presented for the first time by the producer Vitmark-Ukraine Ltd. which at once took the medal place in the categories World Juice Ukraine and World Aqua Ukraine;

the producer Argo Ltd. became the only winner in the category World Canned Ukraine.
